Museum tour
approx. 50 km
Cycle circuit
Start/Finish: Prenzlau, parking lot Neustadt corner Uckerpromenade
Marking: none
Around 50 km through the Uckermark, past small and large museums, several bathing lakes, uphill and downhill.
The MuseumTour starts at the parking lot at the corner of Uckerpromenade and Neustadt. In Prenzlau, you should definitely plan a visit to the fully restored Dominican monastery and museum. The route then heads out of town towards Baumgarten, first along the road and then from Baumgarten on country roads with little traffic to Grünow. In Grünow you can take a break at the Landgasthof zum alten Schafstall. Water lovers will find a spot on Lake Grünow with two beautiful bathing spots.
The route continues from Dreesch to Falkenwalde – on the way you can take a detour to the 1st Uckermark History Village in Drense. The route follows quiet country roads through the uckermark ice age landscape to Neu Kleinow to the millstone museum and on to Lützlow. Lake Lützlow is known for its good water quality and is definitely worth a swim. The route then leads to Gramzow to the railroad museum. The railroad museum provides information about the history and significance of small and private railroads. The museum railroad offers rides on historic railroad vehicles on travel days. Self-driving trolleys are also possible.
The ice cream parlor in Gramzow is well worth a short break for homemade scoop ice cream or an ice cream sundae. The route continues via Blankenburg with the ramparts of an old Slavic castle, Seehausen, Seelübbe and along the Unteruckersee back to the starting point in Prenzlau.
